I know there have been a lot of posts about the 2407FPW but I can't seem to see a reasonable feedback about it. I've read a lot of reviews about it and most of them seem really good with the latest revision. The dell has actually a rebate on it which gives about a 200$ difference with the BenQ. This alone should give me a pretty good idea on which one to choose but I read a few people changed from the Dell to the BenQ. There aren't much review on the FP241VW right now if any.

I would use the monitor mostly for gaming and sometimes to watch movies. So my question is, which one should I really focus on? And why would you prefer one over the other. They seem very similar except for the price tag (which isn't really a problem).

Thanks.

For you use, the Dell should be fine. As to which I'd prefer, I think I'd choose an IPS panel next time around.

Hi,

Here's a link that may help:

http://www.bexox.com/showdown.htm

it reviews the FP241WZ and not the VW, but the prices seem to be identical..

if you're not critically constrained by cash then the BenQ might be what you're looking for. However I personally have been using a 2407 and very much enjoy it.. it just doesn't have an HDMI input like the BenQ does. Comes down to personal preference i imagine.

Yeah I got the Dell earlier today, I will see how nice it is. If I don't like it I always have 30 days to send it back! Thanks for the input :)
