These two laptops are virtually the same price but I am having trouble deciding which one to get. I plan to use for normal day operations and maybe some light gaming. Just looking at the specs, HP seems to be getting a better deal but I am unsure of how reliable each company is. I have read that HP does not have a very good cooling system where ASUS provides one that works great. What are your opinions? Which is more durable? Which one will last longer?

Usuage: Main usage is day to day college student work and also a little bit of gaming. That's why I want to get a laptop with an actual dedicated graphics card. I don't plan on playing anything on ultra settings just medium-ish settings.
