2mb v 8mb v cost

Compusa has 160 gig Hitachi with 2mb for 60 bux, are they that slower from 8mb? I need one for external enclosure, but might use for vid as well.

They have some good deals there. Just got a 60 for $30 2mb cache and it runs 50mbs. I honestly think that it only realy makes a difference with the cache if there is more than one drive on the same ATA cable.

2mb drives vork fine for streaming video and external storage.
For streaming video and external storage 5400 rpm drives work fine
