I recenltly installed Win2000 on a system on which I was using win98 & winXP. Every thing works very fine except the display image which seem to flicker a little bit. It is not as much stable as it was in win98 and winXP.
If I increase the Refresh Frequency from Moniter Settings from 60Hertz to 72Hertz, then every thing works fine. Image is very much stable as it used to be in Win98.
Why the image seems to flicker (a little bit) in Win2000 as it was fine with Win98?
Is increasing the Refresh Frequency upto 72 MHz is right???
Mark Minasi writes in his book <b>Mastering Windows 2000 Professional</b>;
<i>"Specifying a refresh rating that is too high for your monitor can permanently damage your monitor."</i>
Is a frequency of 72 Hertz so highy for my monitor that it can permanently damage my monitor?
Any other safe fix to the flickering image problem?
