Is there anyway, other than removing the memory,to tell what speed the memory is in a machine running XP pro?

Reboot and read the BIOS display.

Thanks Rich, that's what I thought too. When it is booting, I press esc and it takes me into the bios but there is nothing there that addresses this issue. I have gone into all the menus and nothing talks about what speed the memory is.

Could try <A HREF="http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php" target="_new">CPU-Z</A>.

You CANNOT tell what speed your memory is running by taking it out and looking at it, memory speed is set by BIOS, not the RAM itself.
