I am in desperate need of some advice! I will be upgrading from my Dell 2005FPW monitor, to a 37" from either Westinghouse or Dell. The Westinghouse model is the LVM-37w3 1080p monitor, and the Dell monitor is the W3707 C. Both of these monitors will be used primarily for my computer, but also to play all my consoles on (wii, 360, ps2 and ps3). I've been trying to do some research on both of these monitors, but i've been getting some sketchy reviews on the Dell. The Westinghouse boasts "true" 1080p, and a max resolution of 1920x1080. The Dell is a 720p, and a max resolution of 1366x768. The Westinghouse monitor does not come with anything extra than the remote and table stand. The Dell, however, comes with a 10-outlet isobar Home Theater Surge Supressor, an HDMI Gold digital video cable, a dual-arm wall mount by Chief AND a Logitech Harmony 880 remote. However, I have read out of 30 review, the Westinghouse monitor is one of those "no name brands doesn't always mean cheap" situations. A lot of reviews have praised the Westinghouse as a big roller for the 37" LCD king title. My computer is well over the minimum specs for being able to run either monitors, as i make sure to keep up with the latest technology. So in conclusion, is there anyone out there that can help me make a sound decision on these two monitors and not feel like i made a bad choice after i bought it. Both of these monitors will cost me the same, so price isn't an issue on either of them. Please help!!!!!
