Infineon makes the actually memory chips. Like my memory is Corsair, but Samsung actually manufactures the memory chips.

Kingston is a memory module manufacturer, they do not build memory chips.

Infineon on the other hand is both a memory module manufacturer (Infineon originals), and they also build memory chips.

Only a handful of companies have fabs where they build chips:
Samsung, Micron, Infineon, Hynix, Mosel, Nanya, Elpida and a couple others.

Crucial, Kingston, Geil, OCZ, Corsair, Mushkin etc... do not build memory chips.
