Theres a link to an older model but this one Office depot has a special on right now has 4gigs of ram preinstalled and a 320gig hard drive. Nothing too flashy about this just everything you need. I think the 8200m graphics may be a little weak but I can stick an upgraded card in later on.

The graphics chip should be enough considering I'd only push it so far as playing morrowind and some maxis games possibly. I'm looking to use this laptop for school come fall semester and I'm worried the prices wont be this low till black friday in november.

Is it worth buying it now before the sale runs out on the 30th or should I wait till school begins to start?

I'm sure vendors will have some back-to-school specials lined up. That 8200M honestly sounds very weak for me, but it can get the job done. Just not sure if it's strong enough to provide a decent Sims 3 experience. :P

When I compute prices I always ignore the rebates, since they can be a pain to claim. So we're talking about a $400 budget, right?

400 to 500 really. I hope the'll be something as good as this because this price is a good $70 lower than anywhere else even online and without as much ram or hd space.
