I've just bought a new comp and I want to install win98, xp and Linux onto the machine. I have already partitioned my harddisk.

I am new to dual-booting. So could anyone please explain the process of how to set these 3 OS up step-by-step?? Or even a webpage?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!~

Here's some links:

<A HREF="http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/using/howto/gettingstarted/multiboot.asp" target="_new">From Microsoft</A> (no mention of Linux, but 2/3 aint bad)
<A HREF="http://www.tweak3d.net/articles/multibootlinux/" target="_new">From Tweak3D</A> (Win2K + Win98 + old Linux)
<A HREF="http://www.zdnet.com.au/itmanager/technology/story/0,2000029587,20265546,00.htm" target="_new">From ZDNet</A> (WinXP + Linux)

I don't know a whole lot about XP and its boot process (why does anyone use it?), but I think it's that same setup as Win2K. Anyway, between those 3 you should be able to get it figured out.

<i>Do I look like I care?</i>

1. Didn't like your answer in the other forum?
2. Sounds like a triple boot to me. Those *ARE* 3 different OS's.
3. Using Lilo or Grub is a safe move. Using Nt's bootloader for 98, isn't.
4. When I was triplebooting with Mandrake/Win2k/Winme, I used System Commander.

Make sure linux is the last os you install since windows will overwrite your mbr. Grub or lilo will work, most prefer grub since its "prettier".
