  1. The 3870's weren't bad cards, so as is I'd say 7/10. With the 4870's it'd either be an 8 or a 9, since they are pretty much top of the line cards in the notebook world (yes, ATI finally came out with a highend notebook card to compete with NV). I'm not a real big fan of Alienware, so that's what is holding it back from a 10.
  2. WHat kind of laptop do oyu recommend then? i want a VERY VERY good laptop i was looking at ASUS and it would cost me 4700 bucks (alienware 5300) to get EVERYTHING i want on it. BUt i dont know what to do. I just want a bad ass lap top. :/
  3. I am a huge fan of Sager/Clevo laptops. Unfortunately at the moment, they don't have any offerings with dual GPU setups, so they don't have much that would match/beat the M17 in performance.

Don't get me wrong, it will be a solid performing system. I am just a little wary about flaky support from Alienware.

Also, here is the same system, sold by a different company: http://www.xoticpc.com/force-extreme-built-flextronics-arima-w840-ocznbim17a-w840di-p-2495.html
  4. I see so would you know if i updated my videocards to 4870s Crossfire can i play Crysis on HIGH Settings x4 AA and 16 AF maybe?
  5. According to www.notebookcheck.net, the 3870X2 can get about 30FPS (AVG?) in Crisis with High settings. I'd imagine that the newer/better 4870's would be able to do better than that.

It's not overlycomplete, but it's about the best out there: http://www.notebookcheck.net/Computer-Games-on-Laptop-Graphic-Cards.13849.0.html
