Is there a way to defeat some properties in Win7, from Ultimate to home premium?
Both vs. x86, & 64bit, are ultimate versions.

It's pointless at the moment... you'd be better served to wait until final release if Home Premium is what you're after. You could try using vLite (though I doubt it works with Win 7) to strip out features if that's what you're trying to do...

If I am not mistaken, the windows 7, like vista's dvd will contain everything, ie:ultimate. The features that are active are determined by the product code that is entered at installation time.

If your product code is for the release candidate, you get ultimate. In the control panel/programs and features, you should be able to turn off any parts you don't want or need.

Yes you can use vLite to reduce the space required for Windows 7 RC on a netbook - particularly if it has a small SSD.

OP - You can turn features on and off from within the OS. Just type 'Windows Features' in the search box.
