XP mode question

I have learned that my CPU is not compatible with XP Mode in Windows 7. My motherboard has socket 939, currently using an old AMD Athlon 64 3000+. I read that AMD did not make any chips for socket 939 that had virtualization capability.

Are there any Intel chips in socket 939 that would be compatible with XP mode?

There are certainly Intel chips that support virtualization, same with AMD. But getting them into a socket 939 would involve a bucket of epoxy, an acetalyne torch, and a really really big sledgehammer....

In other words, it could be done. But only if you were blindly insistent on destroying your computer.

So... with that settled, what do you want to use XP mode for? Maybe there's another way.
