I thought I'd boot from my slip-streamed XP SP2 CD that I made a while back.

It got so far in bootup, then announced that file "aic78xx.sys" not found,
and terminated loading.

I'll probably try making a new slipstreamed CD. Bummer.

Other than that, any ideas?

Pemo

Hi

How did you create your SP2 CD:

You can download the SP2 file (266 MBs) from here:

http://www.microsoft.com/athome/se [...] oose.mspx-
or if you have a copy of the SP2 CD, you can copy the xpsp2.exe file from
that CD onto your hard disk/partition and use that:

then follow the directions in the following article to create a slipstreamed
XP CD:

Didn't see OP but here's a nice solution for creating a slipstreamed XP/SP2.

COuld it be that the CD is dirty or scratched?
