Hi,

I have the following problem...

Dell Inspiron 8200

Windows update the other day and then would not restart.
Blinking cursor when booting from HDD
PC Will boot from Ultimate boot CD with no problem
Memory, cpu etc all test fine
Drive passes Hitachi drive fitness test

Tried F12 at start-up and Dell utility say everything passes.

Confused, please help its driving me mad.

tried F8 menu ? does it go into it ?
Else boot from the disk and run a repair and a restore from recovery environment...
Vista updates are horrible so i suggest u turn them off as soon as the computer recovers
