Corrupt File - How to get rid of it?

Hello Forum People! -

I have a corrupt file on my secondary HD that is preventing my computer from starting up half the time. Whenever my computer tries to do a disk check, it fails to do the check for some odd reason. Aaaand to make things worse, I don't have a restore point set up (LESSON LEARNED). Anyway, I don't know how to get rid of it. Please help!
