New computer crashing w/ 4 sticks but not 2

Last response: in Memory

Ok. I've tested the ram and found no problems. So, last night I took the ram out of slots 2 and 4 and ran solely 1 and 3. Problem solved. I can also run 2,4 and have no problems.

But, when combined.. I get issues. Mad crashing/erorrs in windows etc.

Here's a link to a thread that I started on the Motherboard board.

Thanks guys,

Scott

Playing around and retesting each ram w/ each slot.

Anyways, I just recieved "Driver_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL" blue screen of death.

Does that mean that this single Dimm is messed up?

Wow, you figured out the whole thing without even a bit of help, congratulations!

I have always thought that talking to yourself was a good thing! It does tend to get a bad rap though. Especially when you start answering your own questions. Of course I may be biased in that I spend alot of time talking to myself because just like right now, no one is listening!

Did you say something?
