I'm currently using a samsung 226bw. I noticed there is some kind of weird smell at the back of my LCD at the ventilation area. It has some kind of mild burnt smell like those of a CRT television. But when i touch the LCD, it isn't hot at all. Is that to be expected as my notebook's LCD doesn't have that ventilation?

is this a new lcd monitor? it could be the smell of a new product?

It's new but the smell isn't present when the LCD is off.
