Hey everyone,

I am experiencing this weird issue with my monitor. At random time (although it only seems to happen when I am working at the it, not when the PC is just left to idle) the screen will do funny things. It sometimes goes into standby mode, sometimes it zooms right in to a section on my screen, sometimes it outputs what looks like a test signal and other times it sets the refresh rate very high. This ONLY occurs while in winXP not in any games I run.

Now here is the confusing part. It did it on my old PC with another monitor, so I replaced the monitor. Still did it. So I replaced my whole PC and it still does it. The only common components are a HDD and my sound card (I am pretty sure it did it before the sound card as well). Both of the monitors have also been philips (starting to think its a problem with philips monitors but cant seem to find any similar problems on google).

I am running powerstrip to force refresh rates, but even after removing this program it still does it.

One thing I have noticed, if it does any of the above problems and I launch Warcraft3 it seems to correct itself. When I return to windows everything is normal again... until it does it again.

Please help, this is driving me absolutely insane.

Pc Specs:
E6300
ASUS P5B MB
Leadtech 6800 GT
1 gig kingston ram
Seagate HDD's
WinXP SP2
