2. http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna [...] u=320-4335 - Dell UltraSharp 2407WFP 24.0-inch Flat Panel LCD Monitor - $680
Note: If you decide to purchase the 2407WFP, make sure your monitor
isn't an A00 revision with the LTM240M2 panel.
Now my problem is there is a severe lack of stock of the 226BW here in the UK and the only places that have it in stock are between £260-£280 (thats ~$500!!!!). Id like to order it from a reputable etailer here that promises it for £240 delivered when they recieve stock but who knows if they will >.<
Enough of my whining but now you know why I cant afford a 24"
In short, theyre all good screens but my choice would be the 22" 226BW.
Is the extra 2 inch and increased res worth double the money?
Now i need to find someone to ship me a US 226BW....
24" LCD uses better LCD technology that's really the reason why they are so much more expensive than 22" LCDs.
Personally, I hate 22" LCD monitors because they use the "inferior" 6-bit TN panels. They are good for gaming because of low response times (but there is no industry standard in how it is measured), but poor color accuracy, poor viewing angles, and noticeable video artifacts when watching a movie.

To the OP of the two 24" LCDs, I would probably choose the Dell 2409WFP. I don't think anyone needs to worry about A00, Dell recently release the A04 revision. At worse you may get the A03 revision.
If it weren't for the fact that I got raped by the IRS and NYS Department of Finances for my income taxes I would have bought the BenQ FP241WZ.
Here's a 3 way shootout of 24" LCDs, BenQ vs. Dell vs. LG:
