Can't decide on lappy

I'm stuck between two diff lappy's. I want one for gaming with a big screen. 17" or better. the CPU speed doesn't really matter since I'm not really multi tasking. I'm either surfing the net or gaming. More memory is nice but I can always upgrade later if needed. Dual hdd is nice but not needed since I do have several externals. I know I do want something w/ a newer and better gpu card and not something 2yrs old. I'm more familiar w/ nvidia gpu's. Everything else (usbs, esata, vga, hdmi) is pretty much standard now a days I know.

I do like the bigger screen size on the Acer and is nvidia gpu. I trust MSI better. I buy their motherboards. I'm not all that familiar w/ mobile CPU chips nor Acer.

I'd like to stay under a $1000 since I will only be using it for bout 6 months. I'm open to any other lappy suggestions.
