Do you think Americans would fight

1/10th as hard against invaders to the U.S. ???
I seriously doubt they would resist at all, first of all we don't have the weaponry, explosives and knowledge to make bombs and to carry out attacks--i feel americans have been neutered and would raise their hands in the air. all police, law enforcement and military are nationalized and would be the instrument used to takeover the U.S.
I do not think the conquering of america would be a lenghty hard fought task considering the laws,restrictions and complaicency in this country.

They took over in our heads, from kindergarten up.

They are doing it slow, and easy. Govt programes to keep everybody happy.

Heck, even took over the churches. Just find how many of the churches will support God's Laws.

You have a valid point and in some parts of this country thats exactly what probably would happen, but where I live every other pickup truck sports loaded gunracks in the back window, almost every homeowner has numerous guns, [me included], are avid hunters, and would blow your ass away at an intrusion of their home.

Since the assault rifle ban has been lifted people here are now buying new weapons like hotcakes, and I'm not talking single shot shotguns either, I think an invading force would have severe casualities, even attempting to walk through where I live, I may be wrong in saying that, and probably be called a warmonger and all that, and you can believe it or not.

I would fight to the death to defend my home, and my family, and my neighbors, and thats the bottomline for me!

There is no compromising this point, as far as I'm concerned!

Its a little different don't you think, the Iraqi people have lived for years under a tyrants rule, they've never had a clue as to what freedom is, they never spoke out against Sadaam, or they were slaughtered. Have you forgotten all that?

I'm sure an Iraqi that felt his counrty as a whole was being attacked would have the same attitude, but if their hopes were, that the tyrant that oppressed them was going to be removed they may have a different attitude about the whole thing, you may possibly be speaking for some, but they don't all share your attitude.

Its so easy for you to constantly thumb your nose at us, you cannot see any good thats been done for the Iraqi people at all, only bad on our parts, lets just hope for a good outcome to it all, OK, because the majority of us in the US would love for there to be peace everywhere, and maybe one day there will be.

Do you understand the history of Iraq? They Brittish installed a government there, and look what that got them? Poverty and oppression. So they backed the bloodbath party, and Sadaam rose to power. And now another country promisses to instal a government that's NOT as bad as the one installed by the brits, but do you think they all believe that? Would YOU?

Certainly a lot of them believe it's worth a try, but many of the rest just see it as another occupying force installing another puppet government, and nobody is going to convince them otherwise. They sound almost as hard headed as Americans, no?

Now, I don't have a solution for the anymosity caused by past abuses of other nations. So I'd like to hear YOUR suggestions! How do we deal with the problem of Iraqi patriotism? Kill all the patriots?

actually i wasn't thumping america at all in that post.

i was mearly stating that iraqis who are defending their homes are no different to you or me.

heck if someone invaded my country i would most likely fight back. (pity we have no weapons of any sort here LOL, maybe a frypan)

infact i was trying to reduce the "differences" between america and iraq. they are not so different to you or me, or any other human trying to protect their interests.

yes some have it wrong, and are trying to cause fear and cause instability, but both sides have people like that.
