What tablet should I get?

currently, I have a 16GB iPad 2 which I plan on selling and getting $225-250 for

The new tablet(wifi only) im looking for would be below 499 and the bigger model so 8" + screen please.

is there any tablet thats performance and features will justify me spending 150+ dollars on?

The Nexus 10 fits your bill. But I prefer and would recommend the Nexus 7 if you can live with the smaller screen/form factor.
