Ramadan is over.

Took a little indirect fire last night. 6 rounds. No injuries or damage. Got everyone's adrenaline up. Then we fired illum and had gunships overhead till the wee hrs.

I was going to sleep in a little this morning, you know- get up at 0630, do personal hygiene, get dressed and meet one of my NCO's at the DFAC at 0715 for breakfast. Well.... The only true way to celebrate ANYTHING over here is to fire your AK. The locals started at 0530- right after their morning call to prayer and fired magazine after magazine until about 0730. Most of it up in the air- which had most people here scurrying hither and yon in kevelar and ballistic vests.
Some of the fire was directed at the blast wall, too.

It kind of p-isses me off a little when I think about it. Luckily, no one was hurt by it, either.

Anyway - we'll see if we get any action tonight.
