Im currently running my athalon 1800+ with 384 pc2100 kingston ram. none of it has had any problem but im going to replace a stick of 128 with 512. the only problem is, the price for pc2100 is slightly higher than faster ram! would it be worthwhile to get 512 of faster ram or would my cpu slow me down? and yes if i got faster ram i wouldnt mix it.

Get PC3200. It will clock down for now and back up in the future when you build a "big boy" computer.
