Neither of these will game very well - the first one hardly at all. The graphics card is far more important when gaming.

What's your budget like? I'm sure we can do better than this.

You can outfit this guy very nicely for $1300 to far outperform those two models you have there:

Intel Core 2 Duo P8600 is better but what's more important is the Graphic Card on laptops that you want to game with.

The Intel will outperform the AMD.

You may also want to try ubid.com as they tend to sell a good bit if HP laptops most of which use the Nvida 9600 GT (512mb) or the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650 with 1GB of RAM.

now i have three choices
1 p8700(2.53ghz)
4gb ram
512 mb nvidia 9600m gt

2 p7450(2.13ghz)
4gb ram
1 gb nvidia gt 130m

3 t6600(2.2ghz)
4gb ram
1 gb nvidia gt 130m

i'm not able to decide whether processor is better than graphic card or not
so tell me which 1 you'd have preffered???

The 130 is better than the 9600, at the t6600 appears to be better than the p7450, but not by much.

t6600- http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/Core [...] 492MA.html
p7450- http://processorfinder.intel.com/d [...] Spec=SLB54

i'm not looking only for graphic card. And processor speed also matters right??
n in this case the diff. between the processing speed is also very large.
in 1st option i'm getting "2.53ghz" but with less graphic card
so i'm confused, whether i'd go for better processor or better graphic card
can u help me in that??
