I'm looking to buy a new monitor soon since my current monitor doesn't really cut it (15" lcd with a broken power button). I'm definitely looking for at least a 19" with no widescreen. I would be mostly using this monitor for gaming and a little bit of internet use. Also, I don't care much for swivel and tilt and height adjustments or any dumb built in speakers and such. My budget is around $200, but I'm willing to spend more if it's good value. Any suggestions?
Of the three I would personally go with the NEC 90GX2. NEC is well known for manufacturing high quality LCDs.
The Samsung is good too in terms of general quality, but I rank NEC higher. Also you'll need to deal with a mail-in rebate.
Acer makes good LCD monitors, but the generally go a little cheap on the casing itself which is probably why this 20" is less expensive than the 19" LCDs. Some general Acer LCD monitor cases feels like cheap plastic or has some blemishes.
Looking for 25-50 qty 15" LCD monitors with SD card and ports for video buttons. 25 to 50 needed NOW, will need another 250-500 in a few months. Anyone have any ideas where to go? These would go into POP displays and/or gaming machines.
