I currently have the:
Abit NF7-S with
OCZ 512MB Kit Dual Channel EL DDR (256x2)

I'd like to upgrade to 1GB but my board only has 3 memory slots. Would adding one stick of 512(Corsair, no dual channel) to the already 2 work or would the mix match of brand and dual channel be a bad idea. Am I better of getting 2 new sticks of 512MB dual channel OCZ.

Because of the flexibility of this chipset, it would work (i.e. would be in DualDDR mode). Get the 512MB stick and place it in the memory slot that appears to stand alone and place your current 256MB sticks in the two remaining memory slots.
