Problem with my ipod

I have encountered a problem with my ipod.Last night i was transferring my songs from PC to ipod and fell asleep.In morning when i woke up all my songs were gone.I can't seem to get them back.I was in ahurry so i couldnt plug it out properly.Can anyone help me with getting my songs back.
