I want to replace my existing RAM with 2x512MB Memory Modules and have decided on Corsair. What's the performance difference between Corsair's "Value Select" and "XMS" line? Pricewise, I can see about a $50 - $75 difference. Assuming I will never overclock, should I go ahead and get the Value Select RAM?

Thanks!

That depends on what you're going to use the RAM for. The 'XMS' version runs at lower latencies, which means it has a faster response time, increasing overall system performance, but not too much.

The 'Value' version runs at higher latencies, the opposite of what I said above. You can draw your own conclusions from here.

Hope that clears up a bit.
