Hi everyone,

I have $500 to spend and I can spend it on a couple of things. A GTX 295 for my i7 rig, or a laptop. Which would be handy when im on the go. if i did go the path of a laptop, which is the best deal for under $500? New or ebay.

What will you use it for?

You might as well just get a cheap netbook. What GPU is in your rig now? Let's see if the performance delta is worth it.

Edit: Just looked it up, silly me. 260 -> 295 is a big jump. However, the 295 is getting a bit aged now. I might wait till the next gen cards come out. Unless, of course, you're unhappy with your performance at 1920x1200 or higher. In that case, I think the 295 is a better buy.

yes thats what i was worried about... i figure i might as well wait until DX11 cards in september or after. And the laptop i'd be getting would probably be in the range of 400-475$ thanks
