I've found a fantastic deal on a refurbished Viewsonic 22" VX2235wm, where I can get it for $200. I have a couple questions about it.

1) Are the refurbished from Viewsonic as good as the new models?

2) How good will this monitor be for gaming? I have a gateway EV700 CRT from 2001, so it'll be much better than that, right?

3) Is there a noticeable difference between VGA and DVI?

4) How much more will it stress my MacBook Pro's X1600 when gaming if I'm going to 1680 x 1050 vs 1280x1024 under Mac OS X?

5) Is the screen Glossy or Matte?
