Has anyone tried powercolor video cards. I am currently considering of upgrading my video card but because of money constraints am opting at ATI powered vpu's. I have an ATI RADEON AIW 9700 pro w/c i bought last year but lately it's been crashing on me. Probably i damaged it when i changed the stock cooling unit w/c i replaced with a giant thermaltake heatpipe tech. Anyways, am thinking of getting the POWERCOLOR 9800 256 MB PRO w/c costs less than $200 online. What's your take on this?

No matter how cheap the cost, its still a PowerColor.

If it sounds to good to be true, it probably is. If you haven't noticed most other 9800Pro 256 cards are a little higher, and there is a reason behind it.

I have a PowerColor ATI 8500 I got for $99 couple of years back, and it has worked like a champ, that is a 8500 champ.
Many dont like em, but if the price is right, prolly work ok.

And the sign says "You got to have a membership card to get inside" Huh

RichPLS is right, some people have good luck with PowerColor. PowerColor has a bad name with many because they are hit or miss, some people have no problems out of them, others have an exspensive paperweight shortly after buying them. Like any other bargin based company, I suppose.

No, it's not the full version card, it's a 128-bit version.
