Recently, I've begun to notice ghosting on my BenQ FP93G X (19'' LCD, 2 ms) which I purchased several months ago (8/06). I've used a variety of drivers, and changed scaling methods, and frequencies (60, 72, 75 hz) and still I see significant ghosting. I also happened to have reformatted (gg GParted Gnome Partition Editor), but still the issue persists. I have heard of a few instances of this happening to other people (but not developing over time), but this sort of thing is not covered by BenQ or Newegg in their return policies. I'm frustrated that this would happen on a high-end monitor when it does not happen on my much older (probably lower end) Dell LCD monitors. Ghosting occurs both on the desktop and in-game, as in Battlefield 2. It occured to me that this might have started not long after my friend poorly packed it into the trunk of his car, causing a few inch-long scratches (both horizontal and vertical), which we covered up nicely via petroleum jelly. Any suggestions on how to fix the ghosting problem, or what might have caused it?
