Portable would be better, but I,m not too concerned about the weight.

Yes. I play source games (L4D, counterstrike) Fallout 3, MMOs, Want to be able to play Mass Effect, (but I can leave that for a desktop)

Playing music, watching movies, surfing web, research, school stuff, possibly photoshop.
