Hello,

My HP DV6t-2000 computer is not booting up... It either throws an error of 0xc0000225 which loops when either of "Lauch repair" or "Startup Windows normally" is selected.

I tried recovering my data with Ubuntu but it says:

"The system bios has detected your notebook PC was placed in hibernation to avoid overheating . The system is now operating normally and your data should remain intact.

Overheating may occur if the cooling vents are blocked or the operating temperature exceed the specification. The notebook PC should return to normal operation once the situation is resolved.

System Temperature (90D)"

What could be possible reason for this ? & the solution too!

Hi,

Unplug the power supply. Remove the battery. Press the power button and hold it for 10 seconds. Now, plug the power supply back in, and without installing the battery, press the power button and see if it boots.

if you are not going to use your computer for several hours, as in your case, it is far better to turn the computer off versus letting it sleep. Sleep is meant for short periods. If you do not wish to turn it off, consider enabling hibernation and hibernating the unit instead. Your best option, though, is to turn the computer off when you go to bed. Sleep mode does maintaing power to the system, and data corruption can occur (which is probably what happened in your case).
