Can i connect normal earphone with spdif port

Am buying DELL XPS laptop. It has 2 audio slots to connect.
1) is t connect earphones
2) for spdif. Is that possible for me connect normal earphone to spdif port.
Id possible then 2 person can connect at same time and listen music through earphone

You can't use spdif port with regular headphones.
