I am researching hdtv's and find many adds misleading as to their true resolution.

Can anyone recommend a 42" Plasma with progressive resolutions of 720p or higher for ALL HDTV signals and digitial inputs? High contrast ratios are a plus too. Preferably one that does well with analog signals, as well.

I will be using a DirectTV HDTV receiver\dish and services.

I guess I should ask what progressive DVD plaver would be most compatible and deliver close to the same resolutions as the recommended display.
