a good combination

hi all
im building a pc and im not sure what combination of optical drives to get.
would it be ok to get a dvd player and a dvd-rw
iv been told nec 3500 is a good one
if so what dvd player should I get
I need to keep the price down

Well, if you have a DVD-RW, you don't need a player, but Lite On makes good players.

I can rip with either my player or my writer. Doesn't make a difference, result is the same.

That's true, for some reason I was only thinking of on-the-fly copying, which isn't the best thing to do anyway.

I guess for ease, having 2 drives to copy is good. Set the source drive and destination drive and it can do it all itself without having to swap out the discs.
