*I've been looking at the Sony FW400 Series, and they seem to fit the bill, but a friend of mine has it, and Sony locks their display driver to three resolutions (800x600, 1024x768, 1920x1080), I know I could use the mobility driver hack but thats kinda annoying to have to do every driver update.
I've also been looking at a MSI GT725-212US however I've been hearing the display bleeds near the bottom, and I really don't think laptops need a Numpad, it also has a quadcore which is useless for gaming at the moment.

I've been looking at dell's website but they haven't upgraded their graphic card offerings.

For $1700,i recommend u 2 options

1_Sager NP5795 which has a GTX 280M
2_MSI GT725 which has a mobility ATI HD 4850

Both are the best notebooks u can afford in that price range.
