HP Laptop's display problem.

Ive had this laptop for few years, i bought it brand new, one day the laptop crashed and I tried re-installing windows, and it installed find. But when I boot up to windows I see these lines going across.

Is the graphic card burnt out?

Its a HP Pavillion ZD8000
Pentium 4 520 2.8GHz, with Hyper-Threading
1GB DDR2 SDRAM 400MHz(512x1) from Micron
80GB hard drive 5400 RPM
ATI Mobility Radeon X600 with 256MB dedicated RAM


some things:
I did open up the computer about a 1-2 years ago, and cleaned it up (because it was overheating). after that it worked perfectly with no problems.
I have upgraded the memory once it now has 2gb
