My son bought the Age of Empires III and wants to play it on my computer, but after install, I got a message to say I need a 64MB video card, but only have 32MB. Is there any way to upgrade? Does the 64MB refer to buffering?

You don't really have a real graphics card, just an integrated one. It might do with Ages of Empires, though.
You can increase the amount of VRAM (which is stolen from your system RAM, in your case, so you will see a decrease in memory) in your notebook's BIOS.
