A friend gave me this tv that doesn't work and I think it is the power supply that is faulty, but am looking for suggestions.

Whenever I click the power switch on there is a click and then nothing. The power button doesn't illuminate and the tv won't turn on. Are there any ideas of what I can do to pinpoint the problem.

Also, if it is the power supply should I contact the manufacturer for a replacement or are there other places I could find it. The tv is an Acer. Not the best, but it was simply given to me and I'd like to fix it.
