No Sound..??

I have an hp dv6225us with Vista

My problem is the sound.

When I connect speakers to the laptop, there is sound.

When I disconnect the speakers, no sound comes out.

Also, the blue QuickPlay buttons used to make a "beep" when pushed, but the "beep" stopped when the sound stopped.

I've looked onto the internet for solutions but am unable to find anything.

But nothing has worked.

My laptop says that there are no problems with the Internal Speakers, which confuses me...
