I'm fairly new to software and operating system technicalities, but I have a question. I was at a friends house and he was having trouble booting into windows. Right after the cloudy windows bootscreen a message would appear stating that windows couldn't load gdi.exe and that the user would have to reinstall windows. I am curious as to what exactly gdi.exe is and what windows uses it for? Can anyone explain this to me or stear me towards any webpages that explain it? Thanks in advanced for any help/information.

Does anybody have any JuMpEr CaBleS?
