This is a Toshiba Qosmio, and seems to be very good. It COMES WITH Vista Ultimate, which is one of the main things I like about it! My main concern is the graphics card, is it good enough?

This Acer also seems just as good. The Webcam is like 2.0 Megapixel(Qosmio is like 1.3), the graphics card is 8600 GT(!!), and the only downfall is that it isn't Vista Ultimate(it's Home Premium, but this is still good)

I'm getting the Toshiba for $1350, but with a mail in rebate it's $1199. So it's $1199 vs $1099. Both are around the same, with Ultimate and 8600 GT being the positives of each. So which one seems like the better investment?

I'm more into the performance aspect so the Acer would be my choice. The GMA X3100 of the Toshiba isn't bad, but if you want to play any of the newer games you won't get much out of the X3100. IMO the Acer is the better value.

Dell is cheaper. I got my Inspiron 1520 for less than $1,500....

T7500(yes, 2.2 GHz, not 1.6 like the Toshiba)
8600M GT
2 MP Camera
160 GB HD
2 GB RAM
2 MP camera
Bluetooth

The cost is a little more, but it's a way better processor, the memory runs at 800 MHz. Never get ANY INTEL INTEGRATED. PLEASE!!! YOU WILL REGRET IT.

Stay away from integrated cards if you like the new games there awful. I would go with acer, much better quality. Dell also makes a descent laptop but its a little more cash.

Why do you even need Ultimate over Home premium? More than 80% of the people using Ultimate probably will never realize a difference between ultimate and home premium in their lifetime. The differences on those 2 versions of the OS are probably for really hardcore power users to be honest.
