K so i jsut bought the 193P+

I am most definatly pleased with this monitor. as for the price i payed... thats debateable. But it has what i wanted.

Pro:
Extreamly Bright
Colours are Amazing
well contructed
Extremly sharp

Cons:
As with all LCD, 1 Native resolution
to sharp to watch Movies like Monsters Inc.
Ghosting almost non existant

Secondary Cons:
The the Rotate Feature is one reason bought it, It could use a little work in the ergonomic department. little clumsy to switch between them.

If your playing Games... Must have a Good Card... should
you run it in native Resoluiton - Alterantly... not all cames come in 1280 x 1024...ala Battlefield 2 Its Highest res is only 1280 x 964

Colour set up program is a pain to use. not very intuitive.

not sure what else to say off hand... But i'll just and answer any questions if you have any

I just installed the monitor driver and use my ATI control panel to adjust gamma, brightness and contrast. I didn't like the monitor software so I didn't install it. I have the ATI gamma (not system gamma) setting at 0.80, brightness 32 and contrast 75. I really like my 193p+ too...first LCD monitor I could live with. As for the price...well I used to have high-end audio as a hobby and each component was always over $1000 (typically $1000 for EACH speaker, $2000 CD player, $2000 pre-amp, $2000 power amp, interconnects hundreds of dollars each and this was not the highest of the high end by any means, and I used the system about 1/4 as much as I use the computer)...so I consider that I got off real cheap with the Samsung.
Edited by noway1 on 07/11/05 11:59 PM.

one small thing i'd like made better.

The Swivel rotates only one way...should go one way or the other. and its rather stiff to move.

other then that have been rather happy with it.

Kinda wish that I had a better Graphics card to play newer games at 1280 tho.

Not that that matter too much, im playing BF2 and it doesn't have that Res in it anyway. Dumb/lazyass programers.
