Which TV Tuner to get?

Heya!

What i want to do is be able to record some shows, and then burn em to dvd so I can watch 'em on my 32" CRT TV. My TV is decent so I want a good quality recording. But pretty much I just want to do away with my VCR. What do you suggest? Ati? HAUPPAUGE? Are there any other contenders?

All things must surely have to end...

I have TV Wonder Pro and I can do this. Quality is average, definately better than VHS.
I have read the Haughpauge 250/350 are better, but I have not seen them personally.

I just got the HDTV wonder on Saturday. It works great. Installation is little bit tricky. I hope that i could buy the CRT like yours.

IO cant get the frekin thing to work
I get no analog tv tuner just the hdtv
How did u install it and what videocard are u using it with

It should work with any vidoeo card. You have to install the MMC for TV to work.

I'm not a total idiot
LOL I get an error when i run the tv
I tried fresh install, latest drivers,
I was just thinking that their might be some complications if he was running Nvidia
Also how many channels do you get?

it works better with ATI card Radeon 8500 or later with 64MB RAM. My computer: P4 2.26GB, 1GB DDR RAM,Radeon 8500LE 64MB and 160GB Maxtor HD. You have to update your windows xp to sp2 first, then install windows .net fram work. I download the latest driver for the HDTV wonder also. The tricky part is the file 3 installation. You have to authorize first, then download from the ATI website. Hope this help.

By the way, i live in LIttle Rock. I can get all my cable channels 75, for HDTV i got four channel in my area.

It supports up to 125 channels, but my analog cable only provides 65 channels, without a digital converter box.

Yea I dont get many hdtv channels either i get lik5 and 4 of them are PBS sheeish Anyway I dont have the catalist center installed That could be the problem maybe???
