HP DESKJET WON'T PRINT IN COLOR

Hello,
My HP Deskjet 4100 series will not print in color. We connected it to a new computer we just bought, but now it will only print in black. Color cartridge is brand new. HELP!!!!

This may sound dumb, but did you remove the tape from the color cartridge before you installed it into the printer?

Yes, and the self test page is in black ink only.

A black only self test page indicates a problem in the printer itself. It could be out of ink, clogged jets, or an electrical issue.

Did you make sure that in printer properties it is not set to only print Black and White ? (Sometimes if the color cartridge is empty it will reset this setting so you can still print and you may need to change it back ! )
