Hey guys,

I'm looking for a good Digital Camera.

-Just want a point and click that will give me good pictures. I will be using it in all conditions (dark, light, shooting sports games, shooting my gf, etc.)
- I will also sometimes use it as a video camera so it should give me 30 fps at a good clear resolution.
- It should also be compact (slim, light).
- Good battery life is a plus.

So far I am thinking of getting the Kodak EasyShare Z712 IS. http://www.amazon.com/Kodak-EasySha...1300711?ie=UTF8&s=photo&qid=1187962257&sr=1-1

I do have a budget. Let’s shoot for under $210. (But if its cheaper then that, heck that’s even better!)

Are there any better cameras out there with the features I am looking for?
Any and all suggestions are welcome.

Thanks for your time.

Canon always gets get reviews at professional review sites. Panasonic an Casio all do well. These are some good review sites

Some Canons would be the A540 and A570; Casio EX-Z700SR and EX-Z600SR, DMC Panasonic FX12

Some geneal advice:
Canon is all-rounded, though quite expensive.
Fuji is good for the different scene modes, but the anti-shake is not available for compact cameras.
Casio does not take good pictures when it is dark, be aware of it, although Casio has the most scene modes suiting any moments.
