I was wondering if anyone could recommend to me a good 26" or 32" HDTV for somewhere in the price range of ~$500. I just got an xbox 360 and it would be nice to have a decent TV to go along with it. I just need something that would work well in a dorm room/appartment so I dont really need size. I would really like a 32" one but a lot of those I have seen are around $1K, and I think that ~$700 is the most I would be willing to spend. I have found it really hard to find reviews on sets this small, so I thought I would ask here. Does anyone have any recommendations?
I noticed a RCA HDTV in Walmart didn't look too bad for a $500 set. I recommend you save your money up and buy a Samsung or Toshiba when they go on sale. If you need it now, they are already around $1K. They might go on sale further near the end of the year when the new sets come out. I personally like Sony, Panasonic or LG.
Also, consider Olevia or Vizio sets as they are cheaper and widely availabe in the U.S. (if you are there). They are not as available where I am so I'm not really looking at them.

I would recommend this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6889112012 I bought this HDTV about a month ago when it came out. it's very good, i use it as my pc monitor and play my ps3 on it, only complaint is grainy for standard def cable but it becomes negligible from about 10ft away, dvds/blu ray/pc/ps3 games look superb on it, I'm sure it was do just fine for you 360 as well.
